Clara Collie, RD, LDN, CPT

Dietitian

Clara Collie began serving as Wellspring’s dietitian in January of 2022. The prior five years she worked as a clinical dietitian and clinical nutrition manager at Haywood Regional Medical Center.

At Haywood, Clara provided nutrition counseling and education to patients to ensure their nutrition needs were met both in and out of the hospital. She also helped patients adopt healthy eating habits to prevent, manage, or reverse many chronic conditions and ailments. For Clara, this experience reinforced the incredible power nutrition has on every aspect of health and well-being.

Originally from Dalton, Georgia, Clara moved to the Asheville area in 2015 for her dietetic internship at Western Carolina University following her graduation from the University of Georgia in Athens. At UGA she received a Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Sciences, majoring in dietetics with a minor in public health. Clara is also a certified personal trainer through NASM and a certified nutrition coach through Precision Nutrition.

Clara and her husband Tyler married in 2020. They enjoy walking, hiking, and trailing running together, as well as eating good food around Asheville. Clara can also be found painting, reading, and posting simple, healthy recipes and nutrition tips on Instagram (@redemptivehealth) and on her website Redemptive Health!

One of my greatest passions is to educate and equip patients to be empowered, active participants in their health, and to provide them with the tools, knowledge, and support they need to build an approach to nutrition that will help them achieve their optimal version of health in a way that is practical, sustainable, and enjoyable. Through Wellspring’s holistic approach to health care, I get to do just that.
